Our first day at sea today, with many things to fill our time and even more things to fill our bellies.  The average age of the passengers on this ship must be about  65 – so at what year will they stop playing big band music and show tunes in the bars on the ships?  We had an art auction, and played in the gym, and napped, and had high tea.   It was another sunny day, with sitting out on the balcony reading and soaking in a bit of the sun.
We tried new cocktails at the Commodore Club - here you see the Molecular Mojito: white rum, fresh lime straight up, served with crème de menthe infused foam.  Very yummy.  Also, the Bagheera: vodka shaken with basil, ginger and vanilla essence, topped with ginger beer and ginger ale served tall with a basil leave garnish.  Super refreshing and we think this one would be a hit with Jim.
Tonight was the Black and White Ball, and it was really great to see so many folks looking so fine to meet the Captain.  Tomorrow we are at sea again, heading to Egypt, and tomorrow night is the Masquerade Ball – yippee!
