Some of our favorite things

A very few of our favorite things in Rome: Drinking house red wine as the rain pours down from the latest thundershower - thanks Zeus!  And never more than 2 meters from a guy who wants to sell you an umbrella.
The Tazza d'Oro for coffee Roma - good morning Apollo!
Lonely Planet Italian words guidebook - "non capisco" translates loosely "I have no fracking idea what you are asking me, I will be so glad when tourist season is over."
Favorite corner grocery store right next to the Trevi fountain - fresh bread, cheese, salami and of course wine for cheap!
Chocolates on our pillow at night.

Tiny electric busses - holds more people than you would think.
The Vespa 500 at every stoplight - better than NASCAR.

 Red wine all the time.

The "Modern Art" displays are from 1850.
Dogs in harnesses walking with loose leads.
Red wine and Gelato.

The Pantheon, the fountain in front of the Pantheon, the Gelato next to the Pantheon, the place to buy clergy wear next to the Pantheon, the coffee place next to the Pantheon (see above) and the McD's bathroom next to the Pantheon.
Never getting lost - or never admitting it.

  1. Thank you for posting this just as I have hit my 2pm brick wall at work. Now all I can think about is drinking wine and coffee at a little cafe in Italy, cobblestone road and all. And eating bread.

Hope you guys are having a great time (as if I have to ask!)

    XOXO be safe!
